The 11th CARAH will take place at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). Located in the city of Kuala Nerus, Terengganu Malaysia, UMT is just 17 km away from the Terengganu State’s capital, Kuala Terengganu, which you can reach from Kuala Lumpur via air or land.
Getting to Malaysia and Kuala Terengganu
Kuala Lumpur is the major transport hub with direct flights connecting Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) with cities worldwide. The city is also easily reached on a host of short-haul local flights, many of them with budget airlines such as Air Asia and Firefly with most of these flights arrive at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) and the SkyPark Subang Terminal (also known as Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport).
Arriving in Kuala Terengganu (via air)
Kuala Terengganu Airport can be reached from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2). Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia offer daily flights from KLIA to Kuala Terengganu Airport. Journey by air takes approximately 45 minutes. Fireflies operates flight from Skypark Subang Terminal to Kuala Terengganu (flight journey 1 hour).
Arriving in Kuala Terengganu (via land)
Long-distance buses connect Kuala Lumpur with Kuala Terengganu and most of these buses leave from the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS). Express coaches depart daily from Kuala Lumpur (6-7 hours). The journey include 2 rest stops or more along the journey for foods, refreshments and washroom stops. The most comfortable coaches (executive) have 24-32 seats in a 2 -1 seating arrangement. The seats are spacious with plenty of leg room. There are also 36-40 seater coaches with 4 seats arrangement that would as well get you to Terengganu in comfort. If you are travelling overnight, bring some warm clothing (jacket/sweater) as it can be quite cool in the coach. All coaches arrive at Kuala Terengganu Tanjung Bus Terminal.
